Help with 99 silverado fuel pump

Hi, were in the process of building a 408 for my dads 99 silverado, and we were told a walbro 255 would be plenty for the power we are making. Is that a universal fuel pump? The only one I could find that was close was for the an LS1 Camaro, will that work ok for the pickup?

Also one more question, on the old LQ9 block we have a cam retainer plate and it has a space which looks like where a gasket/oring goes (the section of the picture where I put a square around), I took a picture of it, any help would be appreciated, thanks guy!

Anyone know the part number on the gasket? We called the dealer and they couldn't figure it out.

Yeah, cause the Parts morons were trying to help...

Not sure if you can replace just the gasket. That is the cam retainer plate--and the dog bone gasket on the inside is what you need...its for the oil galleys.

    speaking of morons....Dogbone?

There is a "dogbone" in the oil galley (barbell restrictor) but that's just a cam retainer plate and the seal is only available with the retainer. Its not expensive and needs replaced.
