    fuel injector swap question??

i was wondering before i spent the money, will corvette/camaro ls1/ls6 fuel injectors fit my 2004 avalanche with a 5.3 without new fuel rails or a injector harness. i am planning on building or buying a used supercharger setup and will need bigger injectors, anyone know what flow rate or lbs/hr i have stock and will need with roughly 7 to 9 lbs of boost. thanks

Marine 8.1L injectors. At our fuel pressure, they are rated at 44 lb/hr. They are direct replacements.

ls1/ls6 injectors are longer....... you would need to space the fuel rail plus get injector harness adaptors. bc those injectors have ev1 connectors

i went with ls3/ls7 injectors since i had adapters from Delphi to EV6..... all i need are injector height adpaters

sounds like 8.1 marine injectors are the way to go, BUT, all of them ive found are more than i want to $pend. i might have to do more homework and see what it takes to retro fit the wrong injector into my avalanche. trying to get my $'s to go as far as possible, thanks

You can find the LS1-6 injectors for around 50 bucks or so. You can find a injector plug here. You will need 8, the link is for a single plug.CEI - Casper's Electronics, Inc.

On the spacers, don't waste your money. Go to Ace or any hardware store and find a bolt that fits where the stock bolt goes through the rail and into the intake. Get 3 nuts for each bolt. For a total of 4 bolts and 12 nuts. To space the fuel rail put one nut on the bolt, then stick the bolt through the mount hole on the fuel rail, then put the other two nuts on the bolt. Do this to all four mount holes. When your done with this screw the bolts into the mounting holes on the intake. After the bolts are in screw the nut on the bottom down to the intake and use as a set nut to keep the bolt from backing out. Now use the other two bolts to adjust the height of the rail itself. Use the middle bolt to set the height and the bolt on top to hold the rail down. Used this on my truck, I am running the LS6 injectors out of a Vette. The bolts and nuts run around 6 or 7 bucks if I remember.

'04 Silverado RCSB with a crank bolt.

You know your truck sounds good when cops ask you to get on it.
