    N/A intercooler??

i know this probably will get shot down quick, but i'm just brainstorming here...

would running an intercooler on a N/A setup be beneficial in any way or would it probably just be a bigger restriction in the airflow?

my guess is you wont see enough iat drop to even get a gain from it....if it worked im sure someone would be selling one.

Maybe theres some gains though....who knows...build u one and see!

IVe heard of people doing meth injection on Na but thats just to give more octane so idk if an intercooler would work. My guess is it wont be any better than a cold air intake.

it would probably come down to if it restricts the airflow or not. im sure it would reduce temps but im gonna say its not cost effective at all. gary

Sounds like a huge intake restriction to me,FWIW I have ran water/meth on a NA setup and it worked great in the summer with ambient temps in the 100s it would spray and intake temps would drop to the low 50s.

50* is quite significant, but that's an injection system & not just an air-to-air

intercooler with boost isnt a restriction cause the air in the air tract is pressurized and is forced thru.

a NA setup has to suck thru the intercooler. So it would be along the lines of trying to breath thru a snorkle on a daily basis

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

That's exactly the same analogy I was going to use!

I have been contomplating setting up a meth kit on my truck especially for the 110-120 degree summers that we have here.
