    idler pulley bushing help!!

    i need to put an idler on my motor and i dont have any bushing or any way of centering it. does anyone have any ideas?

    Since I am not here as much and you have no responses I have to wonder what your issue is...? If you bought the proper part it should have the bushing and bearing and even the bolt in many cases.

    it doesnt. ive contacted both gm dealerships in my town and they cant get them either. they can get me the bolt and but not the bushing.

    weird, i have never seen one yet without the bearing.

    The top pulley is the one i have. i got the bushing now. i got one that worked off of a s10 blazer. i will post a pic for anyones future reference.

    this goes on the back of the pulley it spaces out thte pulley and centers the bolt.

    wow, of all the engines I've been into I've never seen one of those on a Gen3 powered vehicle. That almost looks like a bandaid someone put on the truck to use an fbody tensioner on a truck.

    Can someone pull off there stock tensioner and see how yours is keeping the bearing from contacting the mounting surface and centering the bolt for me please. and this was not a patch up its a factory piece.

    fyi its not off the tensioner its the idler pulley.
