I am getting a 2001 silverado harness to run my 04 van lq4. Now i was gonna get a 01 ecm just to eleviate any headaches. But I have an 05 silverado 463 ecm. Is there any advantage to using the 05 one? From what i've read i'd have to modify a little to run the O2 sensors but other than that should be direct swap for my 01 harness.
cant use that pcm with a 02 and earlier harness without some work to harness and etc....also no advantage

I knew about the harness work just makin sure the newer ecm wasn't better. If it was better i'd work the harness, but if it's no better i'll just get me a 411 ecm and good to go then.
The 03+ PCM does have more computing power, but you would never notice the difference.
