Which water pump with truck accessories?

Can I run an LS1 or LS2 water pump with truck accessories?

yes, i run the car style ewp .. with my truck accs.

the ls2 water pump has a narrow bell. Are you sure it can be used with the truck accesories? I know the LS1 pump will work with any accessory group.

If you need alignment help with that pulley I have some 3/4" waterpump spacers to put the Fbody style pumps in alignment to the truck pullies. They're for sale in the classified section, complete with bolts.

Ok, I'll tell the full story. I am building an LS1 and have acquired all the truck accessories. I read on a forum that it is better to use the LS2 water pump as the pulley is shallower and free's up room for the electric fans on an S10 swap. I have a brand new LS1 water pump and 2 used truck pumps. There is an LS2 pump on ebay that is going to end in a couple hours so I was hoping to know so I can buy it.

use your ls1 pump since you have it, they both put out the same gpm's if not mistaken

What pump has everyone used up until the LS2 came out? I think its been the LS1 pump. Can't you tell by putting everything in place?

Just a FYI the truck accessories will NOT line up with a LS1 or LS2 pump. You will have to change the pulley to get them to work. Meaning put the truck pulley on the car pump. Only reason to use a car pump is to move the upper coolant hose location. Or use the spacer kit that Red suggested to line up belt with truck accessories
