    Which balancer?

I am putting together an LS1 for my S10. I have obtained all 5.3 accessories but have an LS1 balancer. Do I need a 5.3 balancer or will the LS1 work?

    Thanks.

You will need the one that goes with the accessories you use. IE truck, fbody, corvette, GTO ect. They all have a different offset distance from the engine.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Do you know if any water pump will work? I have two truck pumps and one LS1 but had read it's better for me to run an LS2 as the pulley is shallower and allows for more room for my cooling fans.

Maybe someone will chime in on that one. All the waterpumps are different as well but I think some have pressed the pulley on to different areas to use a fbody pump on truck accessories.

    Great info. Thanks again.

I'm gonna grab a 5.3 balancer and then I can mock up everything.

    Check out this thread.

It seems you can either swap the truck pulley onto the fbody pump or just pull it until it lines up. I hope this information helps as you are going with a slightly different setup with the LS2 pump.
