I have a dumb question and I know its been asked before but I have a 40,000tru cool with no thermal bypass. It gets cold here. Like 20 at night and like 35ish during the day. Until my trans heats up it wont lock up. Am i hurting anything?

Im about to order a cooler for a friend and if I need one ill order it tonight.
I upgraded to the larger 32" radiator, and have the factory tow package. It is about -3* here right now, drove the truck for about 30 minutes today and never hit 160*, truck doesnt shift out of 2nd til 45-48mph (screams at 44), and won't hit OD til near 70.
Granted I have bigger tires that equated to about a 3.02 rear end, but in summer I'm normally in OD by 42.
Riding the gears longer doesn't hurt much...besides fuel economy.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
thats what I was thinking. shifts normal but just wont lock up until it gets heated up. Riding down road at steady fifty five takes proley 5 min. I just dont want to be hurting anything. summer time I never noticed anything.
