    Truck dies out 84 c-10

    84 c10 has 5.3 4l60e swap I'm having a problem where the truck dies as soon I put it in gear

    fuel pressure is over 50 psi. i got dtc p0740 and p0785

    From memory it seems those are trans codes. I could look them up if needed.

    was the trans seperated from the engine during the install? Could you possible have not got the converter in all the way properly? You could have broke the front pump if not true. When you bolt the engine and trans together you should have about 1/8" between the converter and flexplate before the converter bolts go in. The converter should spin freely when not bolted to the flexplate.

    the engine and trans were not separated. is it possible the trans is not being powered up so its killing the motor

    Not really. No power to trans means 3rd gear starts and no 4th.

    Are you sure you have a 60e harness and not an 80e harness?

    positive its the right harness i helped take engine, trans and harness out the truck. the truck was a 2004 suburban

    Are you positive it has a 60e tune in it and not an 80e tune?
