Help to get in 11's, Daily Driver. 01 Silverado

Hey guys, Right now I have a 2001 Silverado Extended Cab Automatic. Has the 4L60E, 3.73 gears, 5.3L, etc. Aftermarket Mods include catback exhaust, Procharger with intercooler and smaller pulley (10-11) lbs of boost. Bigger Injectors, Inline Walbro Fuel Pump, etc. Truck runs real good even with 20 inch wheels. Trans is stock, internals are stock, stock headers, etc. Wondering what you guys would recomend as far as able to daily drive and still be in the high 11's. Was thinking of a different trans, or build the 4l60 from FLT (very local). Maybe a 6.0 swap? Stall? What are your suggestions. Thanks

Get a built trans. The 60e or 65e may not hold up to the kind of power you're going to need to make 11's so an 80e swap might be wise. If FLT is local, that would be even better. Get a Level 3 4l80 from them and you should be good. A stall would help too. 2800-3000. Do you have the stock cam? A boost friendly cam would add a little bit more too. Shed those 20's for some stockers, at least at the track and you can shave a couple tenths off. What are your times with your current set up?

Make sure you get some longtubes to match up to that catback exhaust. Get it flowing better

I planned on getting some longtubes with no cat's in the Y-pipe. Any Suggestions for lightweight wheels / tires? Are you putting radials on back and launching in 2wd or regular tires in 4wd? How are you guys launching the trucks once you put in say a 3-3200 stall. Thanks

    A lot of guys are running Bogarts. I run a stock 16" wheel with a 28.5 x 11.5 x 16 ET Street and cut 1.83 60 ft (2wd).

Have you ever tried starting in 4H and manually shifting from 1-2-3-D and then going back to 2H once your in 2nd? Heard that out of the blue but not sure if people were seriously doing that.

I don't have 4wd but I know people launch in 4H and then shift to 2H once they get going.
