    Exhaust note

I need some suggestions about my exhaust problem. Yesterday I installed Pacesetter Long tubes and ORY.(I have a Corsa Sport Exhaust) Only to find that it is raspy around 3,000 Rpm and again at 5000 Rpm, below this it sounds fine at part throttle but wide open it shrieks . I'am kind of on the fence of putting the stock manifolds and y pipe back on , I really enjoyed the exhaust note prior to the long tubes. Let me know what you guys think.

Mine was raspy at 3K and up w/LT's and Y. Swapped mufflers and it was a deep and less raspy up high. Think thats why all these guys run Magnaflows

i bet if you put some cats in the off road-y it would take away alot of the raspiness...

try a glasspack/race muffler. Right now i'm running cats and straight 3" pipe on stock manifolds...i get the rasp right around 18-2500, before or after, just sounds mean.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

Yea originally I had cats for the setup but after I got the setup bolted up the cats were too long with the ball and socket style collectors I had installed on the long tubes. So I had to ditch the cats in order to get y-pipe to fit.

ya, it would suck to have to mess with the ORY or get a new one with cats or something, but i know that when i took my cats out it got alot louder and redneck/raspier....

x 3048713 for the dynatechs if you have the money. they arent cheap, but the fit great with no rubs or anything, no rust or anything after about 30,000 miles and the overall quality is great. i guess they sound good, ive never heard another 6.2 with another type of headers...
