New usspeedo claster gauge killing my Battery

I have a question maybe you guys can help me. I have a 2008 silverado truck w/t SL and I bouth a new claster gauge with a new red face and bezel from us speedo, This is just like the one that comes in the LT silverado the chrome one with the 6 rings on it, mines only had the 4 ring on it. So I had it re-program and install and we find out latter that its killing my battery. So we got a new one from us speedo and had it install and its doing the same thing, the installer said too much amps, thats why its killing the battery. Do you guys know anybody that had this promble, or can anyone tell me what to do....I really love the new cluster.....need help.....

^That won't change the fact that it's draining the batter. It will only charge the batter faster.

Is it draining the battery while running or while the truck is off?
