There's a release tool. They should have them at any auto parts store and at Sears.
Advance Auto has a complete set for around 5-10 bucks. Think I payed around 8 for mine.

be sure you bleed the pressure off the shrader valve. If you dont plese get on film the result when you take off the fuel line.
it also helps to put a rag under the connections so it catches all the extra gas.
And light a match so you can see - it's dangerous working in dim conditions. That's how accidents happen.
