Cruise Control Help

1988 5.3L Swap

Anyone Ever Hook up a (DBC Throttle Body) Cruise Control cable with a truck style waterpump and LS1 intake manifold? How'd ya do it? I'm having problem's running the '98 style cable hitting the waterpump outlet. Waterpump outlet has been turned to clear the throttle body but that clip on the end of the cruise control cable is a little to big.

Alright for those of you down the road doing this. This is what I did. Take and cut the pressed on lock at the end of the cable and slide off the piece of plastic that comes on the cable (97 Vortec). Take your old T.V. cable (Kickdown cable from 700R4) and cut the end off too. Use the plastic piece off of the t.v. cable and slide it on your vortec one, set the tension and crimp on a new lock. I used a half of an electical connector and heat shink. Looks awesome and will work no problem.
