    Tap and bit ?

going to use a -10an for my drain on the turbo, i need help on what size bit and tap to use and where to get it at. I already have the -10an fitting and it's big i think it's a 1/2....if anyone could point me in the right direction or if someone has the bit and tap i could borrow i would only need it for a couple of hours, i know these things arent cheap at all.

    Thanks

i got my fitting at HD and i went everywhere a local hardware store had the tap i needed. i paid i think 20 bucks just for the tap. -10 is 5/8 when i head to garage today i can get specs for you of the tap i bought and used.

yupp if someone doesnt chime in before i should have it for ya later today.

also for the whole - scale take it from 16 and that is your size roughly

    -4 =1/4
    -8 = 1/2
    -12 = 3/4

    and so on

Yep, put the dash number over 16 and reduce the fraction.

O btw for the drill bit i used a Step-bit. this seemed to work best and cheapest.

also since its aluminum the step helped to not crack the pan from a normal bit biting
