1995 Silverado standard or 1" offset adaptors?

I picked up a 2005 5.3l + 4l60e for a 1995 Silverado RCBS. I am about to order the engine mount adaptors but I noticed that they are available in standard and 1" offset. I plan on using the stock driveshaft and I was wondering which is a better fit? I've read in a couple posts that the tranny crossmember mount must be loose when installing the engine so the tranny can pull forward when bolting to the engine.

Anybody try the 1" offset mounts?

    Thanks, Rick

Do the 1'' offset they place the motor in the stock location and you don't have to move the tranny crossmember. I just went through this a few weeks ago...

Thanks DBRODS. I'll order the 1" offset versions.

Did you get it fired up yet? What did you do for the AC?

    Thanks, Rick

i ordered the regular length adapter plates to use with my solid motor mounts i had lying around. Tranny crossmember mounting isnt a problem changing with me, i already had to move it when i did the th400 swap last year. I figured i might be movign it again anyway. no big deal just drill 4 new holes and make sure its sqaure in the framerails
