    92 6.0 liter swap

Hey all. My name is Damion and I am a new member here. I have a 1992 Chevy sport 2wd w/ a 4.3 and 5speed. I just bought an 03 6.0 and trans out of a wrecked pickup. I thought I would ask your opinions on what I should take out of the truck when I pick it up. It comes with anything I want the guy said, so he's including the harness and ecm, 02 sensors, driveshaft and what ever else I might need.

So, any advise as to what I should be scavaging when I'm there? What about the DBW pedal? Mass air, or anything like that related I'm gonna need? This will be my first LSx swap and I'm excited to get started.

    Thanks for any info.

Get everything you can! You can always sell or throw away what you don't need. Get the DBW pedal mass air y pipe with cats and O2s mass air, air box ect. All wiring, PCM, cruise, relay panel everything. Get everything under the hood.

Take the whole truck. Whatever you don't need can be:

    1) sold on eBay
    2) sent to the scrap yard for cash
    3) thrown away

It's better to have as much as possible....the little things add up.

The motor and trany showed up last weekend. Ok, so about the TB. I have the DBW pedal from the old truck, but I think I should be switching to the cable style. Is that right? Where can I get a DBC throttle body? It should swap right on my intake if I've read right. Also, about the harness. Can I use it just the way it is, or do I have to send it out and have it modified to work on my truck?

if you like cable, gotta get a cable and cable type TB, make a cable mount for it on the manifold and send the harness out to be modified. Otherwise, get a tac module and DBW pedal assembly with wiring and use as-is. You'll need a 411 PCM to run DBC, also. Trade out the original harness and PCM for a DBC harness and PCM.
