    Need ideas!!!

Well with the way the truck market is my brother is going to have his truck for a long time. He drives a 2007 nnbs silverado ecsb with a 5.3. Hes gonna finally start dumping some money into some go fast stuff but he dont know what route to go with. Were thinking we could go with a 6.0 swap or go with a turbo or supercharger. Reliability is a must since its a dd but not looking to set records. His goal is to see some low 13s maybe even flirt with some 12s. So what do you guys think? Where is he gonna get the best bang for his buck and still be reliable?

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

I like the idea of nitrous for a DD. Good street manners, good track numbers.

Turbo + stock motor = done

maybe do a cam and 3.73 gear swap later.
    2002 Tahoe 4.8 - soon to be turbo'd - SOLD
    1989 Mustang - LX Vert - 351W-TT - 2inches of dust covering it
    2012 Raptor - 497rwhp at 10psi
If you aint breaking - you aint going fast enough

Hes not gonna have a whole lot of money at one time to make big purchases so I think hes leaning towards buying a 6.0 and building it up as he can. What year and type should he be looking for??

2002 and newer to get the crank he can fit to his current setup. LQ9 if he wants all engine or nitrous power or LQ4 if he wants to put some kind of forced induction on it.

Would he have to swap anything over from the 5.3 to the 6.0? I was thinking the intake was different on the gmt900 trucks
