    First Truck Ever

Hey whats up? New to the site. I just bought my first truck an 04 silverado 3 weeks ago. I liked it so much that I bought an 04 gmc sierra two weeks later. Ok whats the catch right? They are both salvage title and they are both wrecked pretty good. My goal is to turn two trucks into one really good one. My goal is to be done by Sept. 20. Check it out. Forum seems awesome so far.

Thanks guys. I encourage support and criticism. Throw it my way whatever you got. They are both 6.0l 3/4ton 2004 4l80E. Only difference is crew cab and extenda cab. Well that's not the only difference. I'm finding out that the silverado is slightly different than the sierra. Some parts won't interchange.

I work at a Chevrolet dealer and I think you maybe alright. The only thing I think you may need to watch for is the pigtails for the lights.

Welcome to the site man! Wow, from looking at the trucks, you have quite the project ahead of you. Like Jeff said, the white one = bye bye, from the A-pillar back. The GMC should be fine from the front radiator support back...You can put the Chevy front end on the GMC w/ no problems. Who is really gunna notice once it is all done and painted?? Just make sure you swap over the Chevy taillights onto the GMC. They look waaaay better.

Are they lq4's or 9's. and are both engines good? I can't see the pics here at work? you could probably get some $ for the engine and tranny that you don't use.
