    Larger oil filter

I haven't posted this in a while but I wanted to remind everyone that's completed an LS1 swap you can use the Wix 51522 oil filter which is about 1 1/4" longer than a stock filter. You'll get more surface area with this filter and maybe a little longer oil life. I used to use ACDelco but I haven't been able to find the longer filter anymore.

Yes it will. The ACDelco PF-46 is the smaller one but they both fit. Fram and Bosch both have a long filter but I've always been partial to Wix since years ago Fram used to hold the filter element together with a piece of string. They don't anymore though, most filters are built pretty sturdy these days with metal casings. You only need to worry about the how many microns the paper is or how cheap the paper is. If you change your oil regular I wouldn't worry about it.

The problem with the PF61 is it doesn't have the anti drain back valve in it like the Wix, It is a longer filter though.

The 61 replaced the 58. Not sure the 59 is the same.
