    exhaust setup on conversion

Not ready for it just yet but will be in the near future. What have you all done for your exhaust setup? any pics?
Also how is the exhaust on factory 03 2wd's? Does the pipe from driver side come under trans and meet the pass exhaust forming the Y? If it did I could then just get that setup at a junkyard.
But ideally I'd like to have a mandrel bent 3" pipe coming to a Y under passenger side then to single muffler dumping it behind rear axle. I won't be running cat's. I've checked with jegs, summitt and haven't found anything from manifolds making a Y.

Most setups do run from the driver side coming down under the trans right in front of the trans cross member.

Most places wont have an off road y pipe coming from the manifolds. They are usually made coming off lontubes

Probably going to have it all custom made, that's the route I am taking anyways.

The other question I have related to this is if I can crank it the first time without the o2's or not.

O2 sensors dont usually come into play until warm idle/cruise etc.

So a cold start with no O2's shouldnt matter, as the computer relies on preset values. Might get a code or two though.

With that said, just get the O2's, gonna need them anyway.
LSX conversions, so easy a caveman can do it.

I started mine with just manifolds.

    It didn't hurt anything.
