    What sensors?

Which sensors do I need to pull off my old motor to go on the 5.3? I am thinking I need the oil pressure sensor (located next to the distributor) and the temp sensor ( on the old thermostat cover) But what else do I need? Also I am thinking I have to drill and tap the waterpump to accept the temp sensor right?

You should have 1 temp sensor on the side of the block. Move it to the rear passenger head. Pull the plug out and tap it to the sensor size. No need to tap the water pump. The oil pressure switch on the back of the block can be installed on the oil cooloer block off plate by the filter. You'll figure it out once you look at it. Don't forget you're fuel pump wiring is in the oil pressure switch so don't remove those wires, keep them like they are. Sometimes members like to drill the top of the water pump for the throttle body heater hose but I just plugged mine be cause it's a waste of space and the air will work it's way to the radiator since it's higher than the heads. Feel free to do as you wish but I guarantee you don't need it and it won't hurt the heads.

    Good Luck!

There is already one temp sensor on the back passenger block what is it and should I just remove it? With the oil pressure sensor I broke the one off the 5.3 originally so I am just going to drill and tap what is left and put the one off the 5.7 there.

You need to put the 96 sensor in the rear of the passenger head for your gauges. The one on the block is for the pcm so you have to run 2 of them.

I never had a chance yet to check because it won't run, lol, but do we have to keep the 5.3 oil pressure hooked up to start or is it ok to just run the factory oil pressure for the gauges.

I used S&P's adapters for the temp and oil pressure. For the temp you will need the 12mm adapter and oil pressure is I believe 16 mm. I'll try to find the packages for the part #'s

As far as tapping the head I am going to need to have it off the truck right?
