Neutral Safety Wiring Help Needed ASAP

    Hi there,

I'm new to this forum but figured you guys might be able to help me out. I have swapped a 2000 5.3 from a truck into a 1951 Mercury Monarch. The problem i'm having is that i installed a neutral safety switch on the column and bypassed the one on the side of the 4L60E. However I am now needing to have a crankshaft position relearn done and the computer isn't registering that the car is in park when it is.

So the long and the short of it is that I need to know how to bypass the neutral safety on the transmission so that i can get this relearn done. We are leaving for the Bonneville salt races on Wednesday and would like to get this done first so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    unplug it

Also go into the tune and turn the PRNDL option off.

I was trying to find a way to not have to get it tuned out as the person that does our tuning is away right now and we would like it turned off before we go. I know that on a car tune you can just ground pin #34 in the blue plug on the ecu and that will make it think it is in park is there anything like this on a truck? Thanks for any help.

Hang tight... I'll see what I can pull up for 4L60E PNSS pinouts... mind you, it'll be listed for an '00 Silvy, but should be similar (if not the same).
