I know I've talked a little to Ron on this board about his M5 to M6 swap, but has anyone swapped an A4-M6 in the NBS trucks? My main questions are:

    Getting a clutch pedal
I went to the dealer last night, and it looks like I can order just the clutch and brake pedals and use the existing A4 bracketry under the dash. Can anyone confirm?

    Crossmember location
Is the M5 crossmember different that the A4?

    Master Cylinder location
Where is the clutch master cylinder located? Are there any other parts (brake booster, etc) that are unique to the M5?

    Gauges/Computer Tuning
How will I get the gauges to work? I'm sure that I can get the computer part okay since I have EDIT, but what would I need to turn on/off in the program?

Is there anything else that I'm missing? Driveshaft? Tranny mount? Any other advice?

the few swaps ive seen/been a part of....were all obs but generally should be the same.

be careful when you order the pedals...im pretty sure youll need a bracket for that clutch pedal(mine was seperate from brake brackets and was a PITA)

k-member.... should be easy enough to unbolt, slide it closer/farther, drill new holes, bolt right back up.

Master Cylinder should bolt up on the firewall at the back of the clutch pedal bracket...there are 2 studs on the end of that bracket that it screws to. i dont think there are any other unique parts to an m5 than that...other than some hydraulic master/slave lines.

Guages...not sure what you'd have to remove, got me there

and you might need a tranny mount, and im almost 100% sure youll need a new driveshaft...if you re-gear to spin higher rpms, id get an aluminum one made.

I am really interested in doing this swap as well. I have a 2k2 5.3 a4 with a radix kit on the way and I would really like to do a t56 swap. Any info would be great!!

Mainly on the computer side, what harness I would need to change, what program or computer to switch to, etc...
