    Aloha from Maui,Hawaii

Hey Im Mark I got a 99 Silverado 4.8 RCFS thats all stock with a few free hp mods though nothing to go home about. Its got quite abit of miles but still runs great though I would like to get abit more out of it. Im looking to follow my pops footsteps in being a car do-it yourself person so any help from this very helpful/friendly forum would be great cause out here we got no one to turn to with shady mechanics and ricers all around. Ive cleaned up the truck alot with cleaners and spray paint but its not much of a looker still with dings here and there. You can check it out here if you want http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2563801 , happy holidays to all.

Last time I shipped parts to HI I went to the post office and it was no more than shipping across the country.

Damn beautiful out here though still gotta watch out for ocean salt and the Maui red dirt is vicious to clean off plus it plugs up your window tracks horribly if you dont keep up with washing. We have loads and loads of lifted trucks especially yotas but no fast street trucks just loads of ricers... Regulare 87oct is $3.87 while 92oct is $4.07 so its pretty much up there lol.

Would it be possible to make my truck a high/mid 13s for $2500 or am I just wishing hopefully?
Edit: damn txarkitekt and lamborado you guys got some nice looking trucks.

Hmmmm...if you have the 4.8L/NV3500 and 4WD working against you...I am 100% positive you can get into the 13's by spending around $2500. Since you have quite a few miles on the lil 4.8L, I would highly suggest a bigger motor/tranny swap. The only bad thing is for you trying to find a motor out there...cause I know shipping would be a biatch! You would have to get really creative with what you do using the limited resources out there. But all in all, you should be able to get into the 13's only spending $2500 or so...

Heh I got this thing cheap cause it wasnt a looker like your guys but I ended up buying cans of spray paint every other week or so to touch up interior and exterior parts.
    Outside:

I flipped the blocks in the rear awhile ago so the truck looks like its 2 wheel

    Interior:

I know I need new seats but at least the creative bamboo backwall looks cool , Ill try to install it on the ceiling next. I installed all my sounds, carpet, and sprayed various plastics to make the truck slightly interior appealing.

Could I use a front bumper off a newer 03-06 Silverado or are the bumper brackets different?
