    spark plugs

    i'm lookin to do a lil plugs and wire tune up on my truck since it have close to 40k on it now. what plugs and wires do yall recommend for this?
    2009 CHEVROLET 1500 with a MONSTER 4.8 between the frame rails!!

    I like the Taylor Thundervolts 10.4mm wires. Some like the Mallory wires.

    If you plan on changing spark plugs often I like the NGK TR55 plugs.

    I ran my plugs and wires to 110k miles before i changed em
    Vortec Performance Tuned
    LQ9 built 4L60 LTs and a billion miles on the speedo!

    Yeah, GM designed the engine to run 100k before a tuneup but for maximum power you want to do it before then. The platinum plugs seem to last forever if you run a stock setup and tune.

    yes they claimed thier dexcool last to
    100k too but i hear nothin but bad things out of that stuff lately. so think a plug and wire change isn't too bad of a idea.
