i was told by local mechanic that if i hooked up NOS to my engine it wont last too long...and it will run the engine very hot and lean and probably blow a piston...i was thinking 125 shot would be good enough?

yeah your mechanic is an idiot, here is what you do... get a tune for it, run a wet shot, run NGK TR-6 plugs, and have fun, you will be safe on a 100-125...the motor does not run any hotter from nitrous, it can go lean if you are stupid and don't know how to hook up a kit, just follow the directions....i think your mechanic is an older fellow and doesn't know how much better the motors are built
