    exhaust question?

well i know some of yall have bolt on cat backs and i know some of yall have pacesetters and y pipe so what do yall think about when i bolt on my headers puttin this flowmaster cat back on it cause i found out that what i want from the exhaust shop is accually gunna cost more than this kit and it's basically what i had in my head anyways

i jus thought i would get some second opinions before i did it. i was gunna do just a 3" in/out magnaflow and kick it out before the rear tire but that and the flanges would cost more than this bolt on. do yall think it would be ok to run my slip fit pacesetter y pipe without weldin it, jus bolted on with clamps for a lil while?

yeah but youll need a tune for the 02 sensors cause the SES light will come on if you dont have cats. It will be loud as hell, but i like that, I dont have a muffler and i love the WOT sound. just have some pipe bent and weld it to the y. run it out the sid or just turn it down. I plan on headers and either true dual and dump after cab or y with a dual side exit. mandrel bends are cool but the performance difference after the cats are not much, especially if you are turnin it out or dumpin it cost would be a fraction of the flow kit you suggested

well i have no muffler on my truck now but i'm runnin cat and stock manifolds. ya know about the tune.... workin on that one. i jus don't want to weld it all together. i want to be able to take the y pipe out if i have to for trans work without cuttin my y and headers apart. ya know? but i'm findin out the flanges i want by flowmaster are expensive!

well pacesetters just come without flanges to bolt the y pipe and the headers together. that would make it too easy. lol so now i'm left tryin to find some nice ones that won't leak
