My current Motor has 160,000 miles and knoxs when you change the oil.

Do you guys know where i can get 5.3 short block with out a cam?

There's a place in Phoenix that specializes in Gen3 engine builds and they have really good prices.

If I remember correctly, the LS1 does have a slight knock once you change the oil. It only lasts for a few seconds--until the new oil has been properly distributed throughout the motor. My truck has 100K less than yours and it does that for a few secs....

How long does the knocking last?

It only Knox For a few sec.

Your motor is fine. You may have just not noticed it until now. What you are hearing is completely normal. No worries.
