I bought a 1999 5.3 for a transplant and it's missing the starter and MAF. Do all starters and MAFs interchange from all years and engine sizes? I've seen a couple of designs of MAFs and don't want to buy the wrong one.

Starters should interchange. The MAF has two designs, one with 3 wires and the one with 5 wires. The latter has the air temp sensor built into it. Check your connectors, I think you should have the 3 wire unit but I could be wrong.

My '02 5.7 has a 3 wire. I need the 5 wire for the new harness. If you need the 3 wire LMK.

I was told they do interchange. Look at your plug.
I think any 5 wire will work. My '99 4.3L works just fine on the '04 6.0L I swapped in.

all the trucks had 5-wire MAF (3 for the MAF and 2 for the IAT) the car MAF used three wire and
a remote IAT sensor.

Hi people. My uncle just recently bought a second hand 99 and it seems that the starter and MAF is also missing (same with Dice) so we're kinda looking for where to buy one. Can anyone suggest where to get a cheap starter and MAF. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
