I ordered a thermostat on 1/31/2007 and received an email shortly after informing me that it was "back ordered." I sent the company and email expressing my concern as to how thermostats get back ordered. I guess the demand is crazy high right now. Seems to me that it was just out of stock and someone doesn't know how to order parts. That is something that bothers me b/c I work in retail and understand how it works. It gets better. The part finally shipped on 2/9/2007. I called Thunder Racing on Monday, February 19, 2007 and spoke with David regarding my issue. David told me he would call me back later that day and give me an update. Here it is Thursday, 2/22/2007, and I decided to call back. Apparently the thermostat is "lost" within UPS somewhere - no big deal, as shipping errors occur. I asked David if he would ship me another thermostat (using a different carrier) and he said no. I asked him if he really wanted to lose a customer for $20 and he laughed and said YES. Anyone else had a problem with these guys???

Just my two cents. I'd like my money back - or a thermostat!

What do you think?? Am I out of line to be a little upset?? a month for a tiny part?

I ordered stuff from them and got it in days. Back-orders suck. Lost shipments suck. Was it lost in route to you with a UPS, FedEx or DHL tracking number? Ask for it.

Was this some "special" thermostat? I'm guessing it's not a 180, since you ordered it through an aftermarket shop. I think parts stores sell 160s for ~$50. If that's what ya want, I can see why ya ordered it for $20.

Hadn't had issues with Thunder. Of course, I'm local to them, but sounds like UPS goofed on the shipment. I will say this... I ordered my first cam, and it got lost with UPS, then showed up at my door a week later. As for David's response to you, sucks that you get so popular to where customer service quality isn't toward the top of the list. I mean... what if your next purchase would've been a $10K purchase, he just blew that over $20. Shame...

The only good customer service you get out of UPS is when they are taking your money. Have I said lately how much I dislike UPS?

Sounds like he could have been more supportive about the issue even if he didn't have anything to do with the lost shipment. I think I'll shop somewhere else.

Thanks for letting us know who not to do business with. I ordered Long tubes and Off road Y pipe Dec 19 from speed eng and still do not have the Y pipe. UPS Speed Eng and Thunder Racing are all on my list of who not to buy from.
