Not much of an update, but I just have to mount the fuse block, Hook up the wires to the speedo, power, ign. and grounds; as well as swap fuel pumps and figure out the fuel plumbing. Radiator is mounted temporarily until I can find out a better way.

Edit: I also got a cam,
    DUR @ .004" 272*/280*
    DUR @ .050" 210*/218*
    LIFT .551 / .551
    OVERLAP 52*
    LSA 112*

I wonder what this thing will run in the 1/4 when I get finished?

The wirring is surprsingly simple, alot simpler than I had imagined.
Get you a set of factory service manuals and it will go pretty easy for you.

I haven't hooked up the 4 wires yet. With the old harness, I am hooking up the new harness, and leaving the old one until everthing else is done, then I will remove the parts I don't need.

now as far as the old harness goes will there be any plugs that you really even need? i guess i just need to have my damn harness done so i can see for myself. im trying to buy myself a crotch rocket at the same time since its winter people need heating oil bad haha. i can understand that one you hook up the 5.3 harness there will be the fuse block and there will be the 4 wires that will connect somewheres i was just trying to imagine what will be left of the old wiring harness that would be in the actual engine bay. when you get a chance throw some pics up! im a visual learner

The four wires you have to connect on the harness from Nelson, I believe, are 12v constant, fuel pump, tach, and speedo .

Maybe check with Red to be sure I haven't forgot anything as I am still learning as I go.
