Thread: Fuel line question

  1. #1

    Fuel line question

Will I need to change out the rubber fuel line in between the tank and the fuel filter or just the little piece in the tank? Thanks

you should use approved injection hose if you are going to use fuel
injection. the LSx uses pressure of 50-75psi. regular fuel line isnt
rated for that kind of pressure. it might hold a bit, but can malfunction
and usually at the wrong time.

What Deano said. Get some good quality hose. I've noticed the new rubber fuel injection line is only rated to 50 psi. Be sure you buy some hose rated for the 75 psi that the stock pump can output.

ive found that dorman products make a plasic fuel line "repair" kit.
has fittings, line, crimps, and more...
im removing my -6an and replacing it with that kit. ive noticed the
pressure line needs a shave. the pressure is pushing the rubber through
    the braided sheathing.

Thanks for the info guys. I went ahead and had some fabbed up at a local hose shop. Did't know they did small automotive jobs. Now i've got to get some tranny lines made. The '02 4l60e that i'm using needs larger fittings at the trans.
