    thanks for wiring details, got the speedometer,tach, volt, oil, water, check engine light all working, now just have to figure out how to make fuel guage work, thanks again for info
    1987 jeep wrangler, 1999 LS 1, 4l60 231j transfercase, dana 30 frontend ford 8.8 rearend 3:73 gear ratio. sandersons shortie headers, 2.25 inch exhaust into 3 inch flowmaster muffler.

    How'd you get engine temp off of that pinout chart?

    it works off the serial data, only the oil pressure has its own wire

    the fuel gauge is also serial data. youll need a 250ohm sending unit
    in the tank. wire the sending unit to the PCM.

    So how many ohms is the stock 2004 sending unit?

    Serial data? So i can't just tap onto all my sensors and hook them up to my factory jeep electronic gauges huh....i have to get a chevy cluster? i think i'll figure out how to get signals from other sensors...maybe double up on sensors...your thoughts?

    Double the sensors. That works great. I've done it twice now and I have no regrets. What's nice is I can hook HPT or any scanner to my OBDII port and double check their readings.
