Somewhat noisy

I remember Greg saying that LS1's are pretty noisy. I can hear the valve train clicking which would seem pretty normal too me but I have a resonance tapping noise through the exhaust pipes which I can't track down. I have an SKF microlog at work that I can bring home to measure g's with an accelerometer but before I did that I wanted to know if anyone with a high lift cam has heard this same type noise. I tried putting pressure on the exhaust system with no luck of stoppng it and thought I'd ask you guys about it. When I rev the engine up either it disappears or the exhaust noise over rides it. I know if it was a bearing or something of that nature (mechanical), it would not go away, it would probably get worse. The S&P headers seem a little thin to me, does anyone with them get this noise? Maybe it's just my poor hearing but my motor has always been pretty quiet(even with 116,000 miles). I do hear some slight vavletrain noise but nothing out of the ordinary. Of course I'm talking about when I didn't have that annoying exhaust leak, now all I hear is that.

yeah, it seems these gen 3's are a little noisy sometimes, but ive heard its just normal mechanicle noises and we are paraniod as to think its a problem some where when its not. hope this is your case!
