i cant say anything about the vats but i had a similar problem with my setup. if i was not running the oil pressure sensor it would not send signal to the fuel pump. it would start then die off. on the firewall on the passenger side under the black cover. or power block their is a fuel a pump relay which which you can power up or there is a fuse to, that i believe if you power up the brown wire it will send constant voltage to the fuel pump. you can test this to eliminate if its a fuel problem

How long would it stay running before you fixed this problem? Ill have to dig out my diagrams again and do work but im really hoping its the vats. As soon as the new ecm gets in ill see exactly what it is!!

it would fire right up run for like 2-3 seconds maybe then die. fire right back up then die. but if you have a new computer coming i would wait for that and give it a try.

I just tested the fuel pump wiring and it has 12v when the key is on engine off until the 2 second prime is up. Then it drops to 0. When I crank it the voltage jumps back up to 12v. But my gage is still pegged past 80...

Got my gage fixed.... it was a bad ground... somehow the sensor wasn't grounding itself! Anyway now I need input on o2 sensors. I got 2 Bosch universal sensors and ive wired them up:
    Sensor wires. Harness wires
    White. (Heater) Pink (switched power)
    white. (Heater) Black
Black. (Signal wire) Ppl/ white and ppl (signal to pcm)
Gray (sensor ground) tan (low reference)
Is this correct? I don't know but from the diagrams I found online this was the way to do it... any input appreciated!!

Ok so the pcm made it fire up and stay running but it doesnt act like it wants to rev very good. Is it just because im running open headers? Or is there some other problem? Im not getting a check engine light...
