yea i saw them, one sold for 2,1xx(very far from 9k) the pewter one will not sell for 8,900 it is the nicest one and is only bid up to 1k, and the red 94 bidding ended 3,250(also very far from 9k).
and im glad you clarified ''OLD CARS'' because that would explain why your confused about what this truck is worth. you have proved my case with your own posts. at first i amused at the idea of someone thinking that old of a stock truck was worth that much, (and i meant to pick on you about it) but i know you will think whatever you will think

A four door Olds ninety eight? Keep us updated on what it sell for. I see it has no engine. What are they planning on putting back into it? What is it, a 71?

If you lived in Compton California you'd get some good money for how it sits. They would build it up how they wanted it. A big boat like that makes a nice cruiser and with hydraulics on it the thing would be sweet.

we have 3500 in it and have gottan about 3500 dollars worth of fun out of it, it doesn't have a for sale sign on it, but for the right price... it will be some other persons car (or a ford fairlane, my father wants one big time...)

yeah, its a cruiser most days, but its so fast it will pass anything other then the gas station...

i like hydraulics way more then air bags, but it would have to be hydraulics that dont have tons of power where the wheels come off the ground.

LOL, it has an engine, i will post pics of it later (my brother is pestering me for the computer) it has the original engine in it rite now, the car is just on jack stands at the moment because we had to pull the entire cooling system out and re-do everything (we got home one nigh, and the radiator just about blew up... 325 degrees will do that) so that will be finished tomorrow after noon if we have time, i will post pics of it with the front end on the ground at its normal ride height...

its a 1965 olds 98 LS, its one of one- it has the "ultra high compresion" 425 super rocket with 420 hp (first year of that engine, custom order only) three speed hydromatic (custom order only- first year) and 10 bolt posi rear end (custom order only, and EXTREMELY rare) plus power windows, power seats, original AC, delux hubcaps, and a few other options... no to brag, im just saying what the car is, you know? its not bad for 2800, rite? lol. thats 2800 running... it was our daily driver for 6 months, and we had the coolest car on the block. oh yeah, not that it matters because we want to rebuild the engine anyways, but 65,000 original miles.

EDIT: here are pics of the engine, i just got done repainting it a week ago, so im really proud of it... unfortunitly there is over spray in these pics, but all of that has been cleaned (on the cars, and a couple hoses) also, behind one of the pullys is black in the pic, thats also fixed. it was all brown like 2 weeks ago, so its not bad for 12 hours of work and 30 bucks worth of engine paint. admittedly, at this point im not going for a a show car finish, but when im driving i will spend a lot of time in this, so all though its not my first car, im treating like it is (meaning, im not putting 10 grand in chrome on it, but i want it to look nice)... but yeah, this car is just a toy on the weekends, and something for me to tinker with after school on weekdays.

EDIT EDIT: ok, its not letting me post pics at the moment, i will try in an hour or two. but i got to go for now...

i would have to kill my self, the engine in that car was the best engine made by GM in the mid 60's, and was only made for 3 years, and only in 3 modles, it has really high nickle content in the block, so apperently its the stongest block ever made by GM, 420HP 425TQ and with a tiny carb, so we are throughing a simple tuned up quadrajet on in a few weeks, intresed to see how that turns out... and it was a test engine for caddilac, but still had way more nickle then the caddy ever had.
