Follow those steps. Pretty easy. The ignition fuse is under the hood along the driver's side front fender. Pop off the lid and look at the diagram for the location. Is the fuse blown? If so, replace the fuse.
Does it blow again quickly? Then you have a shorted out wire somewhere. I would use a test light or ohm meter and check to see how far back you have power from the underhood fuse panel.
If the fuse is not blown, start checking how far back you get power TO the ignition switch from the underhood fuse panel. Is the power good to the ignition switch? If so, then order you up an ignition switch and replace it. Make sure you check the integrity of the wires at the connectors to make sure

changed the ign. switch. checked all the fuses.. etc
torque converter was blown, changed the tranny for a brand new GM one, 3000$ total
now Ive got a loose in the transfer case, and my two U joints are to be replaced
