    Relocating the IAT sensor

I've heard of people relocating the IAT sensor. I'm curious what benefits this will yield and how is it done? I'm guessing it's not hard and I would imagine it would help me quite a bit cuz I use methanol. Input please

Part # for the sensor? And how exactly do you plug it into the harness?

no part number here. i just got one from a fbody. as for hooking up to harness you have to splice into the harness

Which wires do I splice? I'm assuming they're attatched to the MAF with a stock setup.

It's the tan and black wire next to each other on one side of the MAF plug. Doesn't mater which way you hook them up to the new sensor, it's not polarity sensitive. You can also get the IAT sensor from Summit, its a MSD PN.

I believe he is still running the MAF but sprays meth after to lower IAT's. MAF isn't recognizing the lower IAT's now since the IAT sensor hasn't been relocated.

I would dump the maf all together and make the VE perfect personally... I'm really suprised its not pegged.

he just needs an AC delco iat from any 98-02 ls1 fbody.. I relocate mine about 5" from the tb opening
