    My wheel locked up!

I have a 05 silverado with 50k miles on it and this is what happened. It's happened twice already. I get in my truck put it in reverse to pull outt and as i'm going in reverse my truck starts to shake as though one of my wheels in locked!
Both have happened on rainy days but have no idea what it may be!
I think the wheel that locked up was my rear wheel on the driver side but I'm
    not sure

check caliper pins.... if one fell out/broke, the caliper will hit rim in reverse.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

+1. I bet your truck has the G80 LSD...and since you said it has happened only when it has been raining leads me to think that your LSD was activated just before you put it in park and left it. Since it is a mechanical LSD, it will not unlock until you put it back into Drive and travel for a set distance to allow it to unlock. No biggie really. If you feel uncertain about it, you can always drain the fluid and replace it with new stuff--but make sure to NOT use synthetic stuff or additives. Just use regular 75W-90 rearend fluid.

The G80 unit (along with Eaton and Auburn LSDs) use bands/clutches. If you use synthetic or any additive, it can slip in operation will not let the LSD work as designed.
NOW, if the LSD in question was a Detroit TrueTrac, then I would recommend using a good synthetic like Royal Purple...

lucas 80-90 all the way. has additives for limited slip, works great for open rears.

I think your right cuz I do put it in park and drive a little and it goes away
but I'll wait to see if it happens again it was a while before it happened the second time but if it does happen again I'll try what you suggested
