I never really had bad luck with Wait4me, but they are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to tuning. Allen has been at it about as long as anyone and I remember back when he had LS1-Edit(now pretty much obsolete technology).

I personally haven't been able to afford a Nelson tune, and decided to send my money elsewhere, but the more I spend on this site the more I appreciate his help and knowledge.

That is coming from a pretty unbiased source, and I am more than happy with my current tuner. He's just across the country is the problem.

Also, our reworked harness is $450, you're comparing their price to rework a harness to our complete brand new harness which is $650. There's a lot more to building a new harness compared to cutting out the extra stuff and grouping grounds, power and ignitions together. Our reworked harness includes, cutting out the extra stuff, simplifying the harness, adding a fuse block, obd2 connector, ses light, GM fuel pump relay, and easy 4 wire hookup.

Our hotrod tune, which gets your truck running with no emissions, vats, etc, is $150.

hope this helps clear things up.
Im not downing you i have heard from many that your one of the best in the business but 450.00 + 150.00 to get running is too much for many on a budget. I agree if i were building a show truck and wanted to look pretty, there would be no other I would run but yours. not to mention I know your wire is a better grade than oem in the long run but im a poor boy on a poor budget and im just interested in going faster than the next. and by the time the oe wire wears out I be wanting a new project any how.. but just to clarify to all if you want a quality, dependable product and you have the coin to do it right the fist time or your building something to last forever go with nelson....

    oh i almost forgot

painless can give you a whole new harness for 595.00 and there running a special that comes with a free tune to get you up and going. if your going to mod out you will probably find someone local to dyno tune before its all over with because thats the only way to fly right. Painless wires are as good if not better than any in the buisness. there are curently about 28 companys just in texas who build harnesses and tune. just make sure you use some one who will take all the crap off like the theft protection etc. because some fly by night places don't another reason to consider nelson there well known...

Hey, no problem at all, I really appreciate the referrals!
I was just a little shocked when "deep pockets" was used, cause I've never had anyone say that.

    thanks again,

i can agree "on a budget" "im not looking for a show truck" "by the time the OE wires wear out you'll be moved to the next project" thats good points, but when it comes to no headaches and having to do searches for the right wires and all thats involved. id prefer a custom harness for one of the Best builders on the market. you can go S&P for 1,000.00 or spend 650.00 on a Nelson harness, or 600.00 on a painless, or 300 on an ebay harness. im just a firm believer of "you pay for what you get" i understand having to wait on cash an everyone has bills, cant afford a race queen. thats why its called a project bc the money is tight and you do the best you can with what you can afford. i dont think nelson is too expensive, but i cant vouch for his harness or any of his tuning. he doesnt even know me nor has he made any money off of me, but any question i ask him he does his best to explain it to me and help me out. so hes a great guy in my book. i have decided to make my life easier with my swap and go with the Nelson harness, i have my own tuner simply bc hes very close to me and i can always go to a dyno tuner when im done with all my Mods.
good luck with your project, cant wait to see the thread about it.
