    I think if your strictly goin for power then wait for the ls1. Theres a little more potential there but nothing huge. If I had a 5.3 in front of me I would go ahead and drop it in man, You wont be dissapointed

    what smh sead its not a big enuf dif really inless you can get the ls1 for cheeper than you can sell the 5.3 is it an lm7 lm4 or l33 or what

    The oil pump is fine, I just got to figure out if the coolant is getting in the oil from a head gasket leak or a crack!

    thats what im thinking, the extra money i would have to fork out for the ls1 i could put a different set of heads on my 5.3.
    59 chevy apache>old school rod with 5.3.
    92 chevy swb>full frame, bagged, 98 interior swap.
    02 chevy swb>LT interior swap.
    01 tahoe> lowered on big wheels, family ride.
    97 ford diesel>big turbo,injectors,oil pump,etc.
    85 stang coupe> black on black, H/C/I.
