Corvette servo and accumulators install

Last night I installed the Corvette servo and two accumulators (the 1-2 and forward) that I bought from Oregon Performance Transmission. They were easy to install, easier than what I thought. Being that it was my first time doing that. Next I did the servo that was real easy, until I got to the retaining ring that holds the servo cover. That took at least an hour to install. Is there an easier way to do it? I also noticed that the servo pin has a hole in it. Does the hole have to go in at a certain position? Oh well at least they are in.

Since you probably don't have the right tool to do so, take a long screwdriver and stick it in that mysterious hole just to the right of the servo cover. Then get another long pry/driver and use the two to push in the servo in a cross fashion.
It's much easier while in the truck, obviously you have the trans tunnel to press against.

the handle of a hammer between the trans tunnel and the sevo cover workd great...clip normally pops in first time!

Push the center in with the palm of one hand and place the snap ring in with the other. Be sure its seated all the way in or you'll break the transmission case when it shifts.

Stretch the o-ring on the cover to remove the cover. +1 on the ring advice.

Damn man--good call! I always use the pry bar and press against the trans tunnel--but using the screwdriver thing would prolly work pretty damn well!

yeah....if you took an hour doing it you have more patience than me...i would have just left it and called someone else to fix it

The trans tunnel or body is easier to push against, I just wanted to suggest this since his trans is out of the truck.
Be sure to test out the servo play, it needs to push in and out about 1/8", if it doesn't push in and out (with the clip on), it's too tight.

It definitely was pi$$ing me off. But I had to get it, and not let it win.

Be sure to test out the servo play, it needs to push in and out about 1/8", if it doesn't push in and out (with the clip on), it's too tight.
