We have the same plug wires.
I have a leak down tester and a pressure tester and a compression tester but you'll have to drive 4 hours to watch me use them.

Im throwing this out there.. Did you put in new head bolts?? I understand that factory head bolts are torque to yield and are one time usable and if you ever take em off you have to put in new ones. That might be why you have a leaking head gasket. Steam might be because a lil water is getting into the combustion chamber and bioling off.. Just my 2 cents, i would buy some ARP head bolts when doing a head or gasket swap if it was me...
After talking with George... we are pretty sure that the crisco build up was from too much crankcase pressure, due to constrictive breather hose size. Oil vapor and steam make that ''crisco'' build up. makes sense, because I am not burning oil, nor am I burning coolant. Going to try pulling off the valve covers, and putting bigger 5/8 barbes on there, and taking everything from 3/8 to 5/8 including the hose. Should free the breathing up enough to get rid of the excess crankcase pressure. I will try it ASAP.
Jeff, when i changed to my catch can and 3/4 lines from the breathers it did cut down the condensation smoke big time ,and i dont smell oil anymore either.makes sense less pressure more volume.sounds like thats the deal, although holy **** you had a ton of that **** in youre system.i did notice youre catch can setup had tiny lines in and out of it.like i said i used 12 an and it seemed to help out alot, good luck.

Waiting on the stupid fittings to come in the mail. I swear people are retarded. There site says they ship UPS ground... So I give them My home address. I don’t have a mail box yet. The buttholes send me a message that they shipped it USPS... FAIL. At least they shipped a replacement before the old one came back.
Been driving the 97 reg cab. Plus I got a sinus infection, and a nice doctor bill. I have insurance... and I still had to spend $200 for meds. I hate doctors, and used car salesmen.![]()
