The title might be a little bit off for this post, because I know it will fit. But a better question would have been will this engine swap without any major modifications? I want to swap a crate engine in a tired 2002 Silverado that currently has a 5.3. This engine is a 5.3, but I believe it's listed as an engine for the 1999. Reason I ask, the engine according to my VIN number, they want around 4k with a $2,000.00+ core, not to mention I was wanting to keep my current engine. Anyone know what differs from the 2002's to the 1999's and if this would be possible or a hard swap? Here's the engine I'm looking at.
