see thats what i dont want to have to do. i dont want to move my trans. then i will have to mess around and cut/modify my shifter linkage and my driveshaft will end up beeing to short.

Thanks! Well I went from a 350/350 combo to the Ls1/4l60e. I dont know how much of a diff there is between the 350 and 4l60e as far as dimensions, but I used the original drive shaft. I wound up with about 1/2" more exposed on the drive shaft after the tail on the tranny. As far as the linkage I dont remember having to do anything to it.
