    Cam Advise

I have an 06 Silverado Crew Cab 5.3. Mods are K&N CAI, Magna Flow exhaust, Diablo Performance with 93 octane and 305/40/22's. I think i have a 3.23 rear and its a turd off the line. I was wanting to put in a cam in and everything is stock. It is my DD and on the highway i'm getting 21mpg's. I do pull a small trailer occassionally. Would a 265 be the way to go? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Looking all this up will make you go crazy.

Just be patient my friend. More research will help choose the cam you want. With those 3.23's you are being held back alot. Go with 4.10's and you will notice a big difference in bottom end and accelaration. They do make powerful cams for trucks that tow. Im kinda in the same boat as to choosing one. I been researching goin on 6 months.

There is a sponsor on here that quoted me $119 for the ring and pinion. Then depends how much someone will charge to put them in if you dont know how to.Usually around a $500 dollar job, but worth it!

i just put a ls6 cam in my truck and so far the mileage seems about the same, but i get a good boost of power in the top end, it is perfect for a DD.

its out of i think an 03 corvette, and im running a flowmaster super 44 and its pretty nice rumble, its loud under heavy acceleration but not really a bother when im just driving in the city or to work on the freeway. i did run open y pipe for a day or so and it shook the ground and set off car alarms.
