    Stock torque verter w/new cam?

I just ordered a comp xr275hr can I run this cam with the stock converter I want to upgrade eventually but it may be a little while before I do. Will this cam run ok with the stock verter and a tune?

It will run fine, you just won't be getting the full effect, and it'll lose some low end. The whole point of matching converter to cam is to launch at a higher rpm in the new powerband

The tune determines drivability.. tc would just optimize your setup.

Also tc keeps truck from surging at red lights if you have to crank idle up a lot.

thats the cam i just bought for my 370

i also purchased a TBSS stall, so yeah, would be a good bet to get a little bit higher than stock stall, even a 2k stall would be good
