Waterpump spacer for Fbody pump on truck engine

Well, got the spacers made and test fitted. Worked beautifully.

Removed tensioner. You'll need the Fbody tensioner with the Fbody pump

    Accessories, no idler or tensioner.

Nice pile of expensive parts to remove. Transfer thermostat if you need it and its the same style as your truck unit. Oriellys sells a Murray stat that 180 degrees I believe.

Nice new parts available from my machinist for $75. Will get cheaper as he sells more but thats what he wants for them now. You'll need 8mm x 1.25 x 100mm bolts, for $10 we can get them for you. You'll also need an additional pair of water pump gaskets.

    spacers rough installed

    Nice new alignment

Looks good. What are the benefits of using the f-body pump? To be able to use FAST or LS6 intake?

Absolutely, to go to a car style intake for beauty and performance. On the front page is BlueCajun's LS6 intake conversion writeup. One problem most people run into when converting to the LS1 style pump is getting the pullies off without damaging them.

I've never had them side by side, is the F-body pulley the same diameter as the truck pulley?

You know, I've never looked. Maybe I can throw some calipers on there tomorrow night and see if there is a difference in diameter.

    very nice

but that is a corvette w/p not an f-body...need less spacing for the f-body because the pulley is wider..corvette = more compact...so for the vette vs. f-body the spacers have to be different size.....just some info i'd like to share...

I thought it looked odd. I have an LS1 pump on my truck and its nothing like mine. It worked fine with it, maybe its a GTO pump? I'd like to try a few different ones with it. I think the Vette pump is supposed to be .400 shorter than the Fbody pump. He'll make a spacer for that combo, also.
