I am trying to figure out the RIGHT adapter I need for putting my old Oil Pressure sensor on my new block. The adapter I bought from speedway motors isnt even close to being right. Anyone have a reference to the correct one or know the thread sizes?

18mm male and 1/8 NPT? Little bitty fitting for the OP gauge, right? If not then you have the one that is 3/8" NPT. Is it too small for your sender?
This is what it says on Speedway motors... 12mm-1.5 Male to 1/8" Female. You obviously have the 3/8" fitting. You could swing by you local hardware store and screw it into a threaded pipe to verify size. 12mm is way too small.
it is a 16mm male and whatever size sensor you have, maybe 1/4" but likely 3/8" NPT.

These are the sizes available from S&P that are a little more expensive. Click the pic to enlarge.
if it's 3/8 on the end it's probably a 1/4" NPT. Go verify size before ordering another one.

Speedway Part Numbers:
Part Number # 182-2277 12m to 3/8 Npt Water Temp.
Part Number # 182-2268 16m to 1/8 Npt Oil Pressure
Wanted to update everyone with what I did. Since the hole on the motor is 16 mm MALE, and my OBS sensor is 3/8 male ( that screws into female) the part i bought from speedwaymotors was wrong because it was 16mm male x 1/8 female...so what i did was went to napa and got a 1/8 male to 3/8 female adapter for 4 bucks. worked great. so i basically have 2 adapters on top of eachother and then my sensor, but it works and i can have the sensor so its sticking straight up so its easy to tighten (unlike when its on a 90 degree angle and it hits the firewall when i tighten it)
Does anyone have good pics of these installed? Are you using an existing hole or tapping new? Where?
